Derby County Away Kit Launched
Westfield was the venue for the official launch of the Derby County 2009/10 away strip and, as RamBalls told you back on July 4th, it is the reverse of the home kit; black with white trim. (Edit: Actually, it’s a silver trim and shorts so I was slightly wrong. You’ll forgive me, I’m sure.)
Modelling the new strip were Savage, Addison and Bywater as a couple of hundred fans arrived at Westfield to see the new attire. The event kicked off at 2pm and the crowd were treated to a prize draw, the winner of which took part in a crystal maze style game where they had to stand inside a cubicle and grab as many flying silver tickets as they could in order to win a prize.
That means all of the 2009/10 strips have been launched and will see the rams line up in traditional white and black at home, the new black and silver away and the third kit will continue to be the blue and white striped kit.

Hi mate.
Love the blog and thanks for the awesome pics but wondering about the Ramballs store?
If you get some sort of kickback then good stuff but if not then by promoting Rams gear on Amazon it robs the club of profits?
The club really only makes any real money from kits that they sell themselves online or in store… or so i believe as it is the same with most clubs.
Just wondering because it would be good to see the most money possible going to DCFC.
I do not work for the club by the way … lol … sounds a bit like it though!!
Keep up the good work.

Believe me, I wouldn’t be promoting any of it if it didn’t bring in a little revenue for the blog. I believe, although i could be wrong, the club makes a small amount from every shirt sold due to image rights and the stuff I am advertising is available from Waterstones, JJB sports, WH Smith, HMV etc so really I’m just offering another outlet. I doubt I am funnelling huge profits away from the club; If I got even a tiny portion of any of the players weekly wages over the course of an entire year (even a youth player, lol) it would be an absolutely great result for me so I won’t worry about robbing the club of too much money.
Glad you like the blog. I’ll do my best to keep you coming back.
